This guide will show you how to measure the clearance for SR20DET valve guides.

  1. Install the valve guide in the cylinder head. Measure the gap between the valve stem to valve guide. The required gap is listed below.

    • Install the valve guide in the cylinder head.

    • Measure the gap between the valve stem to valve guide.

    • The required gap is listed below.

    • Make sure the necessary adjustments to meet this specification

    • Intake side: 0.03mm to 0.04mm

    • Exhaust side: 0.04mm to 0.05mm
